Dear Hawa,

receiving your daily newsletters has been THE thing of the day for me the last few days... Please do not abandon it.

Btw, I 'm still trying to figure out the three last lines of "konversation". Must have read it more than 30 times...Still believe it means that abandoning your work-place, for a while or more, helps one clear their mind.

Greetings from the Mediterranean city of Thessaloniki, Greece.

Your reader (and listener),

Dora

Dora! Thank you kindly for this generous message, I appreciate your reading and listening.

I think when I wrote this, I was thinking about how we go from one thing to the next in the cadence of life. We wake up and leave the dream world, we leave our hunger when we choose lunch, we leave our "life" when we go to "work." I was curious to put focus on these things we abandon in order to go toward something else. Playing with the idea that the office gives us the very life we walk away from in order to keep working...and so the cycle goes!

In relationship to the idea of "waiting" in Cicero's writing, I also feel a movement (even in the stillness of waiting!) toward a future that is not quite present.

So perhaps your interpretation of the mind being cleared is a way we refresh ourselves to this cycle and come back into presence <3 thank you for sharing
